Georgia's Ministry of Defence announced they had purchased drones from Spain. The country's Defence Minister, Iraq's Garibashvili, visited Marneuli Air Base to check out the new air systems and watch the demonstration fly.
The ministry also announced that existing platforms have been renewed and staff have been retrained.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (the Alpha 800), one of the models purchased by the Ministry. Among the UAV variants planned for operational use in Georgia's reconnaissance units is the Alpha Unmanned Systems production Alpha 800.
With a durability of approximately 2.5 hours, the Alpha 800 has a useful load capacity of 3 kg and a range of 30 km.
