Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin revealed on 19 March that six MiG-29s fighter jets that Russia donated to Serbia will have their first test flights and enter service by the end of 2018.
The MiGs are being provided by Moscow at no charge, but their assembly, repair, and refurbishing costs are expected to near $235 million in total. The aircraft were handed over to Serbia in October 2017 and are currently being upgraded at Serbia's Batajnica Air Base.
