President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s second call for aircraft carrier received a response from the industry. Kaptanoğlu- Desan Shipyard Chairman Cenk İsmail Kaptanoğlu pointed out that the project could be implemented with a strong consortium and said, “The cooperation model to be established between the Defence Industry Presidency, universities, private and military shipyards as well as public institutions and private companies operating in the defence industry and our national aircraft carrier can be produced in the shortest time and at the lowest cost. This strategic call of our President is much more important nowadays. As Kaptanoğlu – Desan Shipyard, we would like to state that we are ready to be a pioneer in such an initiative by mobilizing our local and national resources and to be the main contractor by guiding the process ”.

Kaptanoğlu – Desan produced the rescue and Diving Training Boats with a 71 percent domestic production and delivered them to the Navy.
