Russia’s United Ship-Building Corporation announced on 25 January that the Project 11711 class amphibious assault lead ship Ivan Gren was planned to be delivered to the Russian Navy in November this year. Having laid down at the Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad in December 2004 and put afloat in May 2012, Ivan Gren was lately having issues regarding its degaussing system. The president of the company stated that as the work on the troubled system was currently underway, the lead ship will hopefully be ready to be handed over before the end of 2017.
