Germany's Federal Armed Forces Equipment Information Technologies and Service Support Office (Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr / BAAINBw) have signed an agreement with Electronic Systems und Logistik GmbH (ESG). Germany will procure the Skeldar V-200 rotary wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) use in K130 Class corvettes under the agreement. In addition, UMS Skeldar and Lürssen shipyards have recently signed an agreement for K130 Class corvettes and deliver two sub-components and spare parts for integration with two Skeldar V-200 RTAs.
Developed specifically for shipborne operations, the Skeldar V-200 was developed in accordance with NATO STANAG 4586 standards as well as the open interface for integration into the Battlefield Management System and C4ISR systems. The platform, which has a maximum take-off weight of 235 kilograms, can reach 3000 meters of service altitude. The rotary wing platform has a 200 km data link distance can reach a maximum speed of 150 km / h and UAV's endurance is 5 hours.
