Tactical wheeled armoured vehicles offer a wide range of capabilities to the user, thanks to their mobility in rough terrain and high-speed transport on highways.

UkrOboronProm, the state defence agency of Ukraine, announced that the army has taken delivery of additional BTR-4E. With the delivery of platforms produced under by the main contractor Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau, which one of the subsidiaries of the company, the number of vehicles in Ukrainian military inventory has reached 37 under the current agreement. The company will deliver eight more BTR-4E to Ukraine.

The total number of BTR-4Es in the Ukrainian Armed Forces inventory has reached 80. The platform, which can be equipped with different weapon systems, is usually delivered to the Ukrainian Army with the BM-3 Shturm weapon station. Besides the ZTM-1 30mm main gun, the platform is equipped with a 7.62mm machine gun and the AG-17 30mm grenade launcher. Vehicle is capable of launching a Bar'er anti-tank missile. The platform driven by Deutz EBPO III diesel engine has high off-road capability thanks to 8×8 independent suspension. BTR-4E, which is amphibious, can move at a speed of 10 km / h in the water thanks to the propellers, which placed at rear of vehicle. Platforms with combat weight varying according to the configuration have 3 + 7 crew members. The armoured vehicle can reach a 110 km/h speed and an operational capacity of 700 km.
