Europe's Boxer Program will take final shape with offers to the UK and Slovenia. A statement was made by the Eastern European Sales Agency of Artec, a joint venture of Rheinmetall and Krauss Maffei-Wegmann. It is stated that negotiations with the UK Department of Defense continued through the OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation). The UK plans to supply Boxer in four different variants, including armored personnel carrier, C4I post, ambulance and armored repair vehicle. It was announced that the designs of the vehicles would remain the same but they will include limited essential UK modifications. UK needs are determined about 500 Boxers and the total cost will reach US $ 2.3 billion. It is thought that the order could reach 800 vehicles in the following process.
