Abdurrahman Şeref Can, Presidency of Defence Industry, Head of Department Of Fixed-Wing Platforms Defence Industry stated that Turkey is interested in cooperation with other countries on Turkish Indigenous Fighter Aircraft Program (TF-X) Speaking at the METU Teknokent Defence Industry Cluster’s (TSSK), 6th Project Market, Can said, “TF-X Project should be a common program. We are discussing the common development of aircraft with some countries, including Asian ones.”  Turkey has conducted the program with national resources to meet its indigenous needs. British company BAE Systems is to provide technical support to Program.

Can, stated that 80 engineers from BAE Systems are based in Turkey to provide support to TF-X.
