ASELSAN has come to an end in locally producing photovoltaic cells that convert the light (photon) coming to the solar panel into electrical energy.

Turkey established 7 thousand solar power plant. The installed solar power capacity has reached 6 thousand 232 megawatts. Energy sector in Turkey is one of the first three fast growing sectors. On the other hand, solar energy emerged as an alternative energy source in military facilities where energy delivery is difficult or energy transmission lines can be easily sabotaged. Demand and dependence on photovoltaic cells increased in both uses.

ASELSAN aims to take its place in the solar energy sector as a photovoltaic supplier with a series of 250-kilowatt-power products.
