Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-service Support (BAAINBw)has decided to acquire a new procurement. Within the framework of this decision, Germany will build five additional Braunschweig (K 130) Corvettes. Bundesmarine awarded the ARGE K130 Consortium of Lürssen Werft, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems and the Naval Shipyard for the construction. Lürssen Werft company inked an agreement in the past months with NOSKE-KAESER Maritime Solutions for heating, CBRN protection, CBRN agent detection system, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling and fire suppression system. First components are scheduled to be delivered in 2019. After the integration and test works, the deliveries of the corvettes are planned to start in 2022. There are currently five Braunschweig Class Corvettes in the Bundesmarine inventory.
