The US has signed a $ 123 million procurement agreement with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. Four MQ-9 Block 5 Reaper ordered under the agreement will be procured to the Netherlands under the FMS.
Amsterdam's UAV supply demand was approved in 2015, but the deal was announced in 2018 at the Farnborough Air Show. Last January, Dutch staff began training in the United States. Delivery of platforms with automatic take-off and landing capabilities is planned to be completed by the end of 2020.
