The Qatar Ministry of Defence announced that Qatar has donated an armoured vehicle to Mali. A total of 24 Storm armoured personnel carriers were delivered to Mali for support to security operations.

According to the statement, the vehicles were transported to Mali with the C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft. Developed through the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 series vehicle chassis, Storm is driven by a 195 horsepower 4.5 liter V8 turbo diesel engine. Vehicle’s armour can resist two DM51 hand grenades exploding under the body and offers protection CEN B6 level to crew. All the vehicles delivered have a slot for the machine gun at the top.
