Mykolaiv Armoured Plant has fulfilled a state order ahead of schedule and handed over about 50 armoured reconnaissance patrol vehicles for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ukroboronprom's press service has reported.
“The state-owned enterprise Mykolaiv Armoured Plant, part of the Ukroboronprom state company, has fulfilled the state defence order for the repair and modernization of BRDM-2L1s ahead of schedule. The tactical and technical characteristics of the BRDM-2, in particular, the vehicle's ergonomics have been changed due to the side hatches with reinforced armour. In addition, thermal imagers and modern communications and navigation facilities that meet NATO standards have been installed.
