Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) and the National Boron Institute (Ulusal Bor Enstitüsü/ BOREN) signed a cooperation protocol on “Researching the Use of Boron Fiber reinforced Composite Materials in Aviation Structural”.

TUSAŞ and BOREN will work on the exploration and development of boron fiber composite material instead of the materials used frequently in the world aviation ecosystem.

Within the framework of the protocol aimed at the use of boron minerals, it is planned to increase the domesticity rate of aircraft, while contributing to the more visible products developed with domestic resources in the international market.

TUSAS aims to produce structural parts of aircraft and aircraft such as helicopters in the new factory.
