The “5G and Beyond Technologies Conference” has been held in Ankara today, during which the first indigenious base station antenna was unveiled. Developed indigeniously and patented by ASELSAN, the phased-array antenna has multiple points of entry and exit and supports 2G, 3G, 4G ve 4.5G technologies simultaneously. During the conference, ASELSAN, Turkcell, Turk Telekom and Vodafone companies signed a joint agreement concerning the use of the first indigenious base station antenna. Speaking at the signing ceremony, General Manager of ASELSAN Dr. Faik Eken said: “Our adventure, which began with ULAK Base Station development, continues with the base station antenna. We are greatly pleased that the indigenious product range increases. We aim to export these products as well as to meet domestic requirements.”
The officials of some of the most important Turkish and foreign universities were also present at the conference.
