Ukrainian Company CDET LLC has announced that the modernised BTR-60MK armoured personnel carrier has begun tests. The platform, which is quite outdated for modern battlefields, has been modernised according to today's requirements.

In the scope of modernization, the petrol engines, of the vehicle were replaced by diesel engines. This improves the performance and safety of the vehicle. The BTR-60MKs are equipped with advanced hatch system, better optics and navigation systems. As a result of improvements, the ability of the vehicle increased and maintenance and repair costs are reduced.

It was announced that the modernised model of the platform which are used in personnel, supplies, transportation, patrol and firing support missions in the Ukrainian Army will enter inventory after a series of tests.
