STM autonomous unmanned air and marine systems at SAHA 2026

Homegrown technologies capable of carrying out coordinated autonomous missions both in the sky and underwater are poised to fundamentally change the dynamics of the modern battlefield. STM, one of Turkey’s defence industry engineering companies, will unveil six new indigenous autonomous platforms at SAHA 2026. These will include a long-range kamikaze UAV and a large-class autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle. In addition, these systems are equipped with advanced autonomy, swarm intelligence, and multi-domain operational capabilities. They represent Turkey’s rising strength in defence technologies.

New Systems Delivering Uninterrupted Autonomy in the Air

STM will showcase its autonomous air solutions at SAHA 2026, the International Defence, Aviation, and Space Industry Fair. It will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center from May 5-9, 2026. The long-range kamikaze UAV is one of the leading domestically developed technologies. It is designed to autonomously neutralize critical enemy assets such as radar systems and command centers.

Among other key innovations in the air platforms category, the new version of the fixed-wing kamikaze UAV platform, ALPAGU, stands out with extended range and higher payload capacity. Additionally, the Interceptor UAV System will be on display. It brings an innovative dimension to air defence by neutralizing hostile UAVs in flight. Finally, the Mini Reconnaissance and Surveillance System will also be presented to visitors. It is developed to provide continuous data transfer and real-time intelligence to troops in the field.

Two New Unmanned Naval Platforms for the Defence of the Mavi Vatan

STM, transferring its deep expertise in unmanned and autonomous technologies to the maritime domain, will showcase two critical systems. These are developed for the security of the Mavi Vatan for the first time at its SAHA 2026 booth.

The large-class autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle is purpose-built for strategic missions. It will demonstrate autonomous operation capabilities in deep waters. Alongside it, the Kamikaze Unmanned Surface Vessel is set to change the dynamics of surface warfare. This vessel is distinguished by its high speed, low visibility, and swarm operation capability.

Multi-Layer Autonomous Solutions

Özgür Güleryüz, General Manager of STM, stated that in today’s asymmetric battlefield, creating a surprise effect requires developing innovative concepts. He emphasized that at SAHA 2026, they will present themselves as an integrated system architect. They combine swarm capabilities, electronic warfare functions, and multi-dimensional strike systems under one roof. Güleryüz noted that they would unveil multi-layer autonomous systems ranging from tactical to strategic levels. These new systems will cover air, surface, and underwater domains, for the first time on this global platform.

Field-Proven Systems and Export Solutions

In addition to the new product launches, STM will also showcase its operationally proven solutions. The national strike UAV KARGU, the national surveillance UAV TOGAN, BOYGA-B with munition-dropping capability, the smart munitions system TUNGA, KarguFPV, and the vertical takeoff and landing STM TURUL VTOL will be on display throughout the fair.

In the military naval domain, Turkey’s first national frigate TCG İSTANBUL, the MİLGEM Ada-class corvette, the STM500 submarine, and ship designs exported to countries such as Malaysia and Pakistan will be exhibited. The TCG İSTANBUL (F-515), delivered to the Turkish Navy, and TCG PİRİREİS (S-330), the first of the Reis-class submarines, will be positioned off Ataköy port for visitors to tour.

Expo Participation Info

Visitors who want to take a closer look at STM’s next-generation autonomous systems and naval platforms can stop by between May 5-9, 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center, Hall 6, Booth 6H-06.
