Second-hand C-130J to Bangladesh

Bangladesh's purchase of two UK-surplus Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules transport aircraft has been confirmed by a support contract announced by Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group on 10 May. 

In accordance with a government-to-government agreement for the sale of former Royal Air Force C-130J aircraft, Marshall Aerospace and Defence signed a support contract with the Bangladesh Air Force covering aircraft maintenance, logistics support including the provision of spare parts and ground support equipment for establishing local capabilities, as well as engineering services.

 The C-130Js will replace Bangladesh's C-130Bs which were acquired secondhand from the US:
