More than 650 applications have been submitted to Ukraine’s TrophyLab portal, 389 of them from foreign manufacturers, but access is not open to everyone.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has announced that TrophyLab, its database of captured Russian weapons, has received more than 650 registration applications. Of these, 389 came from foreign defense manufacturers.
TrophyLab operates as a unified web portal for studying enemy equipment. It is fed with data from Ukraine’s Defense Forces, Defense Intelligence (HUR), the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and specialized research institutions. Registration is open not only to foreign companies but also to Ukrainian manufacturers, military units, and government agencies.
Access is not granted automatically. Every applicant is vetted for ties to Russia, for whether they are subject to Ukrainian or international sanctions, and for compliance with other mandatory criteria. Once approved, users can browse a catalog of captured Russian weapons samples and the results of their analysis. The results can be reviewed online, while physical samples can be ordered for offline analysis. Every registered researcher can request a sample, or part of one, for independent examination.
According to the ministry, the portal makes sharing information about Russian weapons faster and more secure, which in turn speeds up the development of effective countermeasures for Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
