The Republic of Korea Navy’s second Dokdo-class amphibious assault ship will be launched this month.
The new ship, ROKS Marado, will be delivered to the service on 14 May, the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced. With a length of 199 metres and a width of 31 metres, ROKS Marado is expected to be commissioned in 2020.
The first-of-class ROKS Dokdo was commissioned in 2017.
