Türkiye’s expertise in autonomy for unmanned systems and its shipbuilding power for naval platforms have come together through a partnership signed at SAHA EXPO 2026. Pasifik Teknoloji and Özata Shipbuilding have taken a significant step by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop next-generation solutions across a wide spectrum, ranging from unmanned surface vessels to autonomous underwater platforms.
Autonomy-focused Collaboration for Unmanned Naval Platforms
The MoU signed between the two institutions covers the development of hybrid platforms and semi-autonomous systems for defence and security needs. The main objectives of the collaboration are:
- To produce innovative unmanned solutions for military and civilian applications.
- To strengthen maritime security and critical infrastructure protection systems with advanced technology.
- To create export-oriented indigenous platforms with high competitive power in the international market.
Technology and Production Infrastructure come Together
Pasifik Teknoloji’s expertise in mission management technologies will combine with Özata Shipbuilding’s design and integration capabilities, creating significant synergy. The plan is to accelerate technical feasibility and prototype development processes through joint working groups.
This partnership aims to enhance Türkiye’s technological competence in the maritime domain and maximise multi-layered operational capabilities using domestic resources.
