A modernization agreement was signed for the ACV-15s, which were developed in the late 1980s in line of needs of the Turkish Armed Forces. With the agreement signed on 31 December 2019, FNSS will also take part in the project as the subcontractor of ASELSAN.

The survivability of the vehicles will be increased in line with the experience and feedback gained from the Turkish Army's operations in Syria. FNSS will carry out prototype production, qualification activities, integration of all mission equipment and turret, mass production and platform support activities; in addition to the renovation and improvement activities.

ACV-15 will be equipped with; 25 mm gun NEFER weapon system, Laser Warning System, Close Range Surveillance System, Driver Vision System, Navigation System. This will significantly increase the situational awareness, survivability and firepower of the platforms. Critical subsystems will be changed with indigenous ones while extending the lifetime of vehicles.
