MKE has launched a $1.5 billion investment program covering the 2023–2027 period, in line with Türkiye’s goal of full independence in the defense industry. Within this scope, strategic production infrastructure is being expanded with three new factories to be established in Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, and Samsun.

Localization in Explosive Raw Materials
The MKE – Hüseyin Kâhya Energetic Materials Factory, currently under construction on an 8 million m² site in Kırıkkale, is planned to become operational in 2026. With this facility, production capacities for nitrocellulose, propellants, and rocket fuel will be increased threefold. Critical chemicals that were previously imported will be produced domestically, eliminating external dependency.
Capacity Increase Rates
Through more than 30 new production lines and investments in over 350 machines completed at existing factories, the following increases have been achieved in critical systems:
- 155 mm Howitzer Ammunition: 5,400%
- Artillery and 2.75-inch Rockets: 1,900%
- 76 mm DENİZHAN National Naval Gun: 500%
- Sniper Ammunition: 455%
- 60, 81, and 120 mm Mortar Ammunition: 300%
- Tank and Howitzer Weapon Systems: 100%
- Small-Caliber Weapons: 50%
Strategic Production and R&D
New production lines are being established in Kırşehir for CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) protective equipment, and in Samsun for MK-series aircraft bombs. Additionally, newly launched R&D centers are elevating high-technology development activities to a strategic level.
