Stating that supporting Greece, which experiencing tensions with Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean; Israel, announced a significant statement about F-35I Adirs

Israel, which is the only country that has the right to use the F-35 customized in line with the requirements of the country except USA, has left another important milestone in the F-35I Adir process. The Israeli Air Force announced that another F-35I Squadron is fully operational. Thus, the 116th “Lions of the South” Squadron became the second F-35I unit to reach full operational capability in the country.

The fleet, which previously served with F-16 A/B Netz aircraft, is stationed at Nevatim Air Base. In a statement made by the Israeli Air Force, it was stated that a 72-hour comprehensive inspection was carried out before the fleet was declared fully operational and that all personnel, from the pilot to the maintenance personnel, were tested for a week with different challenging scenarios. It was underlined that the personnel on duty worked up to 16 hours a day in this process.
