China has passed a critical step in the turbo generator developed for use in war ships. According to a report published in the Chinese media, the system has completed the technical evaluation phase.

The generator was developed based on the work of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) 704 Institute, which is four times more powerful than the most powerful generator in the People's Liberation Army Navy / PLAN. The new hardware is planned to be the main component for the first ship planned to be driven by the integrated electric propulsion (IEP) developed by China.
