OSSA (OSTİM Defence and Aviation Cluster) Chairman Mithat Ertuğ has been a guest of live streamast on C4Defence's official Instagram account. Ertuğ made important statements about ICDDA (International Cooperation Days in Defence & Aerospace).
The event, the first of which was held in 2013, will open its doors to the participants for the fifth time this year. Mithat Ertuğ stated that in the event, which was attended by 260 companies and 6000 participants from 60 countries in 2018, 5,700 interviews carried out. Thus, while emphasizing that the producer and buyer are brought together directly, it was underlined that ICDDA offers important opportunities to domestic subcontractors. Explaining that the biggest companies of the world, as well as the regional foreign participants, took part in the event, Ertuğ stated that ICDDA provides SMEs with important opportunities to do business with the companies in question. In the event, which will be announced as hybrid-structure this year, it will be possible to conduct face-to-face meetings as well as digital meetings with companies that could not attend directly due to the epidemic. In this way, a structure aimed that will be minimally affected by the current conditions.
Emphasizing that there is no competition between the Defence Industry Clusters, Mithat Ertuğ stated that all structures work for the interests of the country. It was among the words of Ertuğ, where a success story was also aimed by ensuring inter-cluster collaboration with the work of several clusters on a platform.
Stating that large companies are investing in North Africa, Ertuğ added that the next 10-15 years are very precious, that new ventures will take time to mature and this process should be evaluated well, otherwise, structures that are difficult to compete in the region will be growth.
