DUMRUL unmanned helicopter is participating in the REPMUS 2026 exercise held in Portugal as Türkiye’s first armed mini platform and is being tested in coordinated flight scenarios with multinational elements.
TİTRA Teknoloji is participating in the REPMUS 2026 exercise with DUMRUL, which is in service in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory. In the exercise organized under the leadership of the Portuguese Navy, DUMRUL is performing coordinated missions with different systems in flight mission scenarios within a multinational joint operational environment. The co-organizers of REPMUS 2026 include the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), NATO CMRE, NATO JCGMUS, and the European Defence Agency (EDA).
Technical Specifications of DUMRUL
Developed based on the experience gained by TİTRA Teknoloji in the field with the ALPİN Unmanned Helicopter, DUMRUL unmanned helicopter was designed as Türkiye’s first armed mini unmanned helicopter. The platform, which is in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, was developed for different operational requirements.

Featuring an electric propulsion system, DUMRUL has autonomous flight and vertical take-off and landing capabilities. With its compact structure, the platform can be adapted to different mission payloads and was developed for day and night reconnaissance, surveillance, and target detection missions.
DUMRUL can also be adapted to different armed mission configurations. Configurations integrating a six-round grenade launcher, mortar ammunition, and the Roketsan METE missile are available for the platform.
DUMRUL’s Capabilities Are Being Tested During the Exercise
Within the scope of the exercise, the DUMRUL unmanned helicopter’s capabilities to perform coordinated missions with different systems and elements, adapt to the operational environment, and use mission data within a joint structure are being tested.
DUMRUL’s ability to operate with common ground control infrastructures is also being tested within the scope of the exercise. While mission and status information is shared through common communication messages, data obtained from different systems is used within the joint operational structure. In this context, DUMRUL’s ability to share information with different platforms, participate in common command-and-control structures, and operate as part of the joint mission chain is being demonstrated in the field.
The missions carried out within the scope of the exercise also provide an opportunity to test DUMRUL’s interoperability with platforms and operational elements from different countries in the field. In this context, TİTRA Teknoloji is conducting studies on the interoperability of unmanned systems and the integration of different platforms into joint operational structures.
DUMRUL’s Development Process
The development of DUMRUL benefited from the experience gained by TİTRA Teknoloji in the field with the ALPİN Unmanned Helicopter and feedback received from users. It was stated that these experiences played a role in developing the platform in a more compact, flexible, and adaptable manner for different mission requirements.
The missions carried out within the scope of REPMUS 2026 are testing DUMRUL’s interoperability with different systems, its ability to operate with common control infrastructures, and its ability to participate in joint mission scenarios.
