ASELSAN and the manufacturer of the medical device, Bıçakcılar company, signed a partnership agreement to develop an indigenous heart-lung machine used in open-heart surgeries.

The two companies signed a strategic partnership agreement to reverse the import-export balance and make state-of-the-art health services accessible by localization.

As the focal point of this project, the heart-lung machine designed with advanced technologies, which plays a critical role in cardiovascular surgery, has been determined. Both organizations started to cooperate through R&D teams, and the technical details that the device will have were determined as we proceeded during the design phase. The new product is primarily focused on the domestic market, and it is planned to be offered for sale all over the world in the future.

ASELSAN Transportation, Security, Energy, Automation and Health Systems Assistant General Manager İbrahim Bekar said, “We believe that our new product, which will come out with the knowledge and expertise in the medical device field with the strength of our engineering, will create a real value for human life.”
