Northrop Grumman made statements about AQS-24 sonar tests.
Tests were carried out with Mine Countermeasures Unmanned Surface Vessel (MCM USV). Tthe AQS-24 system completed the initial sea trials. It was stated that the tests performed according to the new generation Deploy and retrieval system were finalized in the planned direction.
AQS-24B, which is used in minesweeping tasks, is capable of real-time detection, localisation and classification. Effective against bottom mines and mooring systems, sonar has a laser scanning system for precise detection. Remote-controlled hardware can provide instant data transfer.
