UK has prepared a report on the Royal Air Force inventory. The document published by the Ministry of Defence included information on the situation of combat aircraft fleet.

Of the 434 aircraft currently available in the UK inventory, 142 were declared unable to fly due to various reasons. According to the statement, only 101 of the 156 Eurofighter Typhoon were in active service. The report was described as shocking for the Royal Air Force (RAF) in the British press, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018.

The report also included information about other aircraft. According to this, five of the 20 A400M Atlas, which have been put into service in 2014; three of the airborne warning and control (AWACS) platform, one of the three RC-135, four of the eight King Air 350 ISR aircraft, 19 of the 60 CH-47 Chinook helicopters and seven of 23 Puma HC. Mk 1 helicopters can't fly. The reason for this situation announced as some platforms were stored for backup and some of them were in maintenance.
