Czechia will buy an air defence system from Israel. According to Israel, the Czech Ministry of Defence wants to add SPYDER to its inventory as an air defence system.
SPYDER (Surface-to-Air Python & Derby), is a quick reaction, low- to-high surface-to-air missile system designed to counter attacks by a variety of aerial threats including aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs. The system includes a radar system produced by Elta, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). The cost of the air defence system, ranged from 20 to 80 kilometres, for Czechia has not yet been announced.
