The United Arab Emirates (UAE) demand for the F-35A Lightning II is taking form.
The UAE signed a 'normalization' agreement with Israel, after which it made a formal application to the United States for the purchase of F-35 fighter jets.
There is an estimated amount compiled with US State Department reports on the details of the deal after the White House gave unofficial information to Congress about its plan to sell the F-35 fighter jet to the UAE.
According to reports, 50 F-35A Lightning II aircraft are predicted to sell to the UAE for about US$10.4 billion.
Israel's negative attitude towards the sale of F35s to the Middle East changed positively after a meeting between Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz and US Defence Secretary Mark Esper.
