Hungarian Ministry of Defence ordered 20 H145Ms under the military modernization program of the country. Ordered helicopters will also have the HForce weapon management system developed by Airbus. Airbus will also provide extensive training and support package with the helicopters under the agreement.
Having a maximum take-off weight of 3.7 tonnes, the H145M is capable of many missions, including armed reconnaissance missions. Helicopters procured by Hungary will have a high-performance camera, fire support equipment, ballistic protection and electronic countermeasures and fast rope equipment. Platform will also fire air to air and air to ground ammunitions thanks to HForce weapons system.
Driven by two Saffron Arriel 2E engines equipped with FADEC, the H145M is equipped with Helionic digital cockpit equipment with a four-axis autopilot that reduces the pilot's workload. The low acoustic signature of the H145M is one of the quietest helicopters in its class.
