The USA, which gives importance to unmanned ground vehicles, whose use is increasing day by day in different mission configurations and sizes, signed a logistic support agreement.

The US Department of Defence announced on Monday that an agreement was signed with Remotec company. The company, which is a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman will provide sustainment support to the Remotec family robots, which are in the inventory of the US Army, in areas such as maintenance, repair, spare parts supply and maintenance within the scope of the contract worth 48 million USD.

Based in Clinton, Tennessee, the company provides services in many countries, especially in the USA, with its Andros product family. The company, which has been working on unmanned vehicles for more than 25 years, has robots called Andros F6B, Andros FX, Andros HD SEL and Andros Titus. Platforms often preferred in the US Army; and frequently performs dangerous tasks such as disabling suspicious packages, mines, IEDs and unexploded ordnance.
