A new agreement has been reached for the F-15QA aircraft developed for Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF). A new complex will be built at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
The U.S. Air Force has awarded a $524 million contract to a joint venture between Bahadir Construction Engineering Contracting and Trading Company & Impresa Costruzioni Giuseppe Maltauro, which includes training, maintenance and procurement for the F-15QA. Under the deal, which is worth about $524 million, 35 buildings will be built to support three fleets, including 48 F-15QA, to Al Udeid Air Base over the next two years.
A contract was signed between Boeing and Qatar in 2017 for the F-15QA. As part of the agreement, 36 platforms are expected to begin delivery in 2021. The plane successfully operated its first flight in April 2020.
Bahadir Construction, the Turkish partner of the agreement, was also involved in the construction of simulators and strategic military facilities at Al Udeid Air Base in 2017. Bahadir Construction, which founded Advanced Construction Technologies with Tedeschia Construction Enterprises in 2017, continues its work in Qatar.
