The deadline for the second “Best And Final Offer” (BAFO) for serial production of ALTAY Main Battle Tank was extended. C4Defence previously reported that the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) called for new offers and the contenders who submit BAFOs on 8 February were required to submit a renewed BAFO again on March 5, 2018. During this process, it was envisaged that SSM would implement a separate price negotiation with companies determined to be mandatory subcontractors in the Request for Proposal document.
According to the information obtained, the deadline for the BAFOs has been postponed to 9 March 2018. Meanwhile, SSM is expected to continue negotiations with subcontractors.
The contenders of the bid are OTOKAR, FNSS and BMC.
