MBDA has received the first export order for its fifth-generation MMP (Missile Moyenne Portée or medium-range missile) anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM). The export country and the number of missiles to be supplied were not disclosed.

French Armed Forces received the first batch of 50 MMPs in November 2017, just four months prior to the first export order. The service will receive 1,750 missiles by 2025. MMP will replace the Milan and Javelin anti-tank missiles in service with the French Army.

With a range of 4 thousand metres, MMP is a new generation land combat missile system designed for dismounted infantry as well as for integration on combat vehicles.
