Lithuania has decided to purchase the new batch of G36 rifles. Earlier, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence, procured the G36 assault rifle, placed a new order of US $ 12 million to Heckler & Koch.

The new batch rifles will have a new buttstock, a handguard and a better Picatinny rail. The G36 rifles will be delivered with the HK269 40 mm grenade launcher. In a statement from Heckler & Koch, Lithuanian Army will use rifles under the designation of KA4M1. The new weapons have been customized in line with requests from Lithuania, which is a G36 user since 2007.
