According to the images released on social media, Kawasaki Heavy Industries' C-2 tactical transport aircraft's electronic intelligence (ELINT) variant has made has commenced test flights from Gifu air base in Japan.
Japan's Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency declined to comment on the aircraft, citing the sensitivity of the ELINT mission.
