Bulgaria’s Su-25s Complete Maintenance

Bulgaria's third Su-25 (Frogfoot) aircraft, which has undergone maintenance, has been delivered.

In November 2018, a contract worth USD 85.5 million was signed for the Bulgarian Air Force's existing 14 Su-25 close air support aircraft to enter factory-level maintenance at the 558th Aircraft Repair Facility in Belarus. After that, however, the number of planes was reduced to eight.

The first maintenance platform was delivered on September 21st, while the second aircraft was delivered to the Bulgarian Air Force the following day. Finally, the third platform, delivered on October 20, was displayed in new camouflage. All eight aircraft are expected to use this camouflage.

In 2018, Bulgaria halted Su-25 flights due to a lack of supplies due to a lack of maintenance.
