President of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Roketsan Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Faruk Yigit and ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci attended at a press conference.
Demir, shared the images of Turkey's rockets that reached space. Stating that studies are continuing to achieve the capability of launching, testing, producing an iron satellite and establishing a base, he said, “Our first goal is to place a 100 kg satellite in orbit at the altitude of 400 km. We have liquid and hybrid fuel engine technology capabilities, especially solid fuel. “We are working to develop these in various sizes and abilities.” ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci, reached space in Turkey in 2017, the end of this year they plan to go to the right 135 km altitude. In the long term they aim to send 1-1.5 ton satellites into space, he said.
