President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB) Haluk Görgün announced that Türkiye’s first indigenous jet trainer aircraft, HÜRJET, has successfully completed its 300th test flight.
In a statement shared on his social media account, Görgün said: “HÜRJET, one of the landmark projects of our national aviation efforts, has successfully completed its 300th test flight.
First flown in the 100th year of our Republic and developed through Turkish engineering, HÜRJET is not merely a jet aircraft — it is the meeting of determination, capability, and strategic resolve with the skies of our homeland. Reaching supersonic speeds and drawing attention with its performance across three continents, this platform continues to embody Türkiye’s ambition in the field of aviation.”
Görgün also congratulated all engineers, technicians, and pilots involved in the project, particularly those at Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ).
