The U.S. Air Force (USAF) used robot dogs as part of the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) during its exercise in the Mojave Desert.
Four-legged robots, vision 60 UGV “autonomous unmanned ground vehicles” were used to offer the soldiers a map of the battlefield.
The exercise, which scripted the potential battle of the future, used artificial intelligence and rapid data analysis to detect and counter threats to security forces, possible attacks by missiles or other means.
The United States is working to use robots on the battlefield and in base security. In August 2020, it was announced that the USAF had begun using microrobots in base security
