July 10, 2020Japan’s Next Generation Fighter Will Be Inventories in 2035

Japan has announced new dates in a next-generation fighter jet project to replace f-2 aircraft in its inventory.Â
The prototype will be produced in 2024 as part of the F-X program for the aircraft, which is intended to be developed with domestic resources.Â
According to local media reports, the first limited edition is set for 2030, with the new aircraft scheduled to take place in inventory by 2035.
Tokyo will work with the United Kingdom in engine development processes under the F-X programme.
The UK is running the Tempest programme as part of the development of a new generation of combat aircraft with BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, MBDA and Leonardo industrial partners.
