On September 8th, Kraken Robotics announced the signing of contracts for mine hunting equipment with the Danish Navy and with the Polish Navy.
Kraken will deliver its KATFISH™ towed Synthetic Aperture Sonar, Tentacle® Winch and Autonomous Launch and Recovery System (ALARS) in the second half of 2021. Kraken’s equipment will be integrated on board the Polish Navy’s new KORMORAN II Mine CounterMeasure (MCMV) vessels in Gdansk, Poland. No information was expressed about total cost of Polish acquisition.
Kraken will also deliver same equipment to Danish navy. Kraken’s mine hunting system will be integrated on board the Royal Danish Navy’s optionally unmanned surface vessels. The total contract value is approximately $36 million, with the majority of that received over a 2-year equipment acquisition phase.
Kraken will deliver its products to both NATO navies over the next two years.
