The LMS Batch-2 project, a key milestone in the modernization of the Royal Malaysian Navy, is ushering in a new era in the Asia-Pacific through STM’s engineering capabilities. At DSA 2026, one of the region’s most strategic defense exhibitions, STM is preparing to showcase not only its corvette project but also its integrated defense ecosystem—featuring the STM500 submarine and combat-proven strike UAV systems—on the global stage.
Malaysian Projects and Naval Platforms
STM will showcase scale models of corvettes from the Littoral Mission Ship (LMS) Batch-2 project, currently under construction in Istanbul for the Royal Malaysian Navy. The Multi-Purpose Support Ship (MRSS) design, developed to meet Malaysia’s operational needs, will also be featured.

Other naval systems on display include:
- STM500: A compact national submarine
- STM NETA: An unmanned autonomous underwater vehicle
- TCG İSTANBUL: Türkiye’s first national frigate
- National fast attack craft design
Tactical Mini UAV Systems

In the field of unmanned systems, STM will present the reconnaissance UAV TOGAN, which has been selected by three different countries. The strike UAV KARGU, exported to more than 15 countries across four continents, and the munition-dropping UAV BOYGA will also be featured at the exhibition.
“LMS Corvettes to Be Launched This Year”
STM CEO Özgür Güleryüz emphasized cooperation with Malaysia, stating: “We will launch the three LMS Batch-2 corvettes, whose construction we began last year, within this year. DSA 2026 is a critical milestone to take our partnership with Malaysia to a new level and to open new doors for cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.”
