The TOLGA Close-In Air Defense System (CIADS), developed by Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE), achieved 100% success in live test firings conducted for military and diplomatic delegations from 14 different countries, including the United States, France, and Poland, demonstrating its superior capabilities.
A 30-person foreign delegation from Europe, the Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, and Africa had the opportunity to closely examine the performance of MKE’s innovative solution, the TOLGA CIADS, during the demonstration held in Konya/Karapınar.
Direct Hits in Eight Different Scenarios
Developed with the EFFECTIVE-SIMPLE-CHEAP approach against rapidly increasing drone threats worldwide, MKE TOLGA proved its operational capabilities in the field through live test firings. In the shots executed via the command-and-control center in manual, semi-autonomous, and autonomous modes, the system achieved 100% success against eight simulated attack attempts using specially manufactured fragmentation anti-drone ammunition.

President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB) Haluk Görgün commented on MKE TOLGA’s international success in a post on his social media account.
Referring to the demonstration in Karapınar, President Görgün stated: “This international interest is a strong indicator of the level our defense industry has reached and the strength of our engineering capabilities. The high performance displayed in the field has once again confirmed the effectiveness of Türkiye’s domestic and national solutions in close-in air defense. I sincerely congratulate the MKE family and all our engineers who contributed to this success.”
Proved Its Readiness for Duty After Completing TSK Tests
This successful demonstration of MKE TOLGA CIADS in front of international delegations came after the system had already completed its domestic testing processes. According to information published by the C4Defence news outlet, TOLGA CIADS had previously completed test activities—conducted in the presence of high-level representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and other security units—with 100% success, proving that it was ready for duty.
These results strengthen expectations that MKE TOLGA will significantly enhance Türkiye’s air defense capabilities as a deterrent and effective shield against modern battlefield threats such as mini/micro UAVs, tactical drones, and smart munitions.
