Within the scope of PN MILGEM project, there has been a new development for the corvettes to be exported to Pakistan.
STM will procure the main drive systems of the platforms to be produced within the scope of the project. A total of four corvettes will be delivered to Pakistan during the PN MİLGEM process run by Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc (Askeri Fabrika ve Tersane İşletme A.Ş/ ASFAT).
According to a statement released on June 19th from ASFAT's official Twitter account, the contract with STM was signed on June 16.
Under the agreement, which includes technological transfer and joint production, two of the ships will be built in Turkey and the remaining two will be built in Pakistan.
The first two of the corvettes are scheduled to be delivered in 2023.
