The Standing NATO Maritime Group (SNMG-2), deployed by NATO in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, passed through the Çanakkale and İstanbul Straits to carry out training activities in the Black Sea. ITS Virginio Fasan (F 591), HMCS Fredericton (FFH 337), BGS Verni (42), ROS Regina Maria (F-222), TCG Fatih (F 242) and TCG Preveze (S 353); conducted PASSEX in the Western Black Sea under the command of Italian Rear Admiral Paolo Fantoni. Subsequently, the platforms will carry out educational activities with Georgia.
