Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) Group participated in the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026 held in Saudi Arabia with its subsidiaries CANiK, AEI Systems, and UNIROBOTICS. Within the scope of the exhibition, the Group introduced its integrated defense solutions ranging from small arms to medium-caliber cannons and remote controlled weapon systems (RCWS).
Medium-Caliber and RCWS Integration
At the exhibition, the 30×113 mm VENOM LR medium-caliber cannon, developed by the UK-based AEI Systems and noted for its low-recoil feature, was displayed. The system was presented to participants integrated with the ÇAKA 30 Remote Controlled Weapon System mounted on the FNSS-produced PARS ALPHA 8×8 armored vehicle.
The TRAKON 30 RCWS, developed by Group subsidiary UNIROBOTICS, was also showcased at the exhibition with its artificial intelligence–supported software and stabilization systems. Emphasis was placed on the use of the TRAKON 30—compatible with naval and land platforms—together with the VENOM LR within the counter-UAS (C-UAS) concept against UAV threats.
CANiK, which had previously completed the Saudi Arabian Land Forces’ 12.7×99 mm heavy machine gun tests and entered the “approved supplier” list, exhibited its existing and next-generation systems throughout the fair. WDS 2026 served as a platform for the continuation of the Group’s technical collaborations with military authorities in the region.
Production Capacity and Strategic Objectives
SYS Group CEO Cahit Utku Aral shared the following information regarding the Group’s production capabilities: “Together with AEI Systems, we have reached an annual production capacity of over 400 medium-caliber cannons. With this capacity and our integration capabilities, we hold a significant position globally in this segment. WDS 2026 provided an important platform to share our vision with strategic partners in the region.”
